Started by a stylist, for stylists.
Amor Studios was created by stylists for beauty industry professionals.
We provide a space for stylists to control their own destiny and keep what they earn. Kellye Amor worked at a large salon for over a decade. Like most stylists, she gave up a large percentage of her revenue to the salon.
Whenever she attracted new clients the pain of giving away a large percentage the money minimized the benefit of growing her clientele. She had to work twice as hard to earn what she needed.
As if giving over half her money wasn’t bad enough, she also had to deal with beauty shop drama. She wanted to find a place that she could truly run her own business and be drama free. She looked far and wide and found that places that that offered independent salon spaces were too expensive.
Kellye and her husband Dennis decided that they was going to open their own shared salon space. They knew that it had to be in a great location and have everything that an independent stylist needed. They ran into one sizeable problem.
Rental space in the DMV area is so expensive that she had to charge high rental fees to cover the expense of renting the building.
The solution? Own the space! This is a much larger investment on the front end but by doing so, they can offer a class A location with everything that a stylists needs at fair rates.
Amor Studios is located in the heart of Bethesda. It also happens to be in the same building that houses multi-million dollar condominiums. It is the perfect location to welcome your existing clients and add new ones.
